We are three family owned, fast growing businesses in need of more structure in our human resources management.  You can be our first real Human Resources Manager and help us improve on the policies and procedures that we have and develop the ones that we don’ t.   

BOS  is three companies – BOS Staffing, BOS Medical Staffing and BOS Security.  We have  hundreds of employees, both temporary and permanent, across three corporations and five states.  We’ re a small business with the challenges of a large multi-state, multi-industry corporation.  BOS Security has been named to the Inc5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies FOUR TIMES as well as the UGA Bulldog 100 List of Fastest Growing Companies.  BOS Staffing has been named to the Inc5000 List of Fastest Growing Companies FIVE times. 

 

Summary/Objective  

The Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resource function.  

Essential Functions 

  1. Immediately and then annually thereafter review and make recommendations to owners for improvement of the organizations’ policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.  

  1. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization' s compliance.  

  1. Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.  

  1. Communicates changes in the organization' s personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.  

  1. Assists owners in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization' s wage and salary program.  

  1. Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.  

  1. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO, on personnel matters.  

  1. Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.  

  1. Oversee the company Safety Program, manage workers compensation claims and investigate accidents to identify opportunities for improvement. 

  1. Conduct investigations in personnel complaints, behavior issues,  etc  and recommend resolution. 

  1. Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization.  

  1. Develops and maintains a human resource information system that meets the organization' s personnel information needs.  

  1. Supervises the staff of the human resource department.  

  1. Assists in recruiting. 

 

Location 

This position can be based in either our Athens, Gainesville,  or Duluth, GA offices. 

 

Travel 

You will generally be based in either Athens, Gainesville  or Duluth, but there will be times that you visit our other offices in Georgia during the day.  Additionally, there will be occasional out-of-state and overnight travel.  

 

Requirements 

  • College Degree 

  • At minimum  Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®)  credential required prior to hire.  Must maintain certification throughout employment. 

  • Demonstrable advancements of increasing duties and responsibilities in the Human Resources field
